Lessons consist of catching your horse, grooming, tacking up your horse, 30 minutes riding time, and untacking an putting away your horse. You will learn skills to properly care for a horse of your very own one day.  (Don't worry parents, help is always available for your children.) Students are not on their own until they reach the appropriate skill level to catch & tack  on their own. I'm very proud how well each of our riders watch out for each other.

Level A- walk only, learning the basics of stopping, steering, backing, balance, using your feet properly etc.

Level B - beginner trot, being able to trot comfortably around the arena and trot some basic patterns

Level C-learning how to post at the trot and ride more difficult patterns and courses.

Every 2-3 months we do group trail rides or game days in place of a regular lesson. These are always lots of fun. Students get to ride with other at their same skill level and go out on the trail.  Trail rides are available for lesson students ONLY.

Many of our students love to have a picture day with their favorite horse and secretly I think the horses enjoy the extra attention too!  Check with Lindsey if you are interested in a photo shoot. Courtney Helton Photograhy shot many of these wonderful pictures!

Level D - beginner at cantering. Learns correct leads and simple lend changes. Rider begins to  add cantering into reining, equitation, and horsemanship patterns. After Level E we begin advance work and get ready for showing outside of schooling shows.
